Tina Dizon is warm, personable, and has excellent poise.  After 15 years of developing her skills as a Hair Colorist and Hairstylist in Beverly Hills, she opened her own Salon there called The Private Room, with the intention of creating an elegant, intimate and inviting salon for her discerning, high profile clientele.  Tina has been a Salon Educator – training both assistants and fellow stylists – for well over a decade.  The creator of “Color Pop,” “The Locks Lab” and “The Bang Station,” she is a trendsetter and thought leader in the hair world.  One of Beverly Hills’ top Hair Colorists, Tina is sought after for her ability to not only formulate the perfect hue for her clients, but to correct color gone wrong. “You are not a colorist unless you can fix color,” Tina says.

Tina’s color expertise comes from her command of multiple color lines (she holds advanced certification in eight different professional lines), her artistic attention to detail, and her fidelity to the hair’s overall integrity. This dedication to hair health has become one of Tina’s core philosophies during her years as a Hair Colorist.  When formulating, Tina uses her deep understanding of how skin color, hair texture, underlying skin tones, hair pigment and overall lifestyle impact the color choices to give her clients the hair color they’ve always wanted.

Another of Tina’s core philosophies is that as color technology is continually evolving, the Colorist, perhaps more than any other Hair Expert, must constantly be educating himself or herself.  For 11 years, Tina directed the education program at Beverly Hills’ landmark Umberto Salon, where she not only mastered multiple color lines, but also demonstrated a talent for teaching others.  Tina believes that staying current with color technology is one thing keeping her at the top of her game.  Her ability to understand how each color works on the hair at a molecular level, combined with her innate talent in matching and blending color, is what makes Tina one of the best at her craft.

One of Tina’s favorite color applications is Balayage, the art of sweeping color onto the hair, rather than using foils.  This method is not for the amateur, as it requires a deft eye for placement and flawless technique to get the desired results.  These play into Tina’s strengths, as she is known for her precision and attention to detail.

Always ahead of the curve, bright colors, pastels (specifically pinks and lavenders), street fashion and pops of color (temporary or permanent) are all currently on Tina’s radar.  When asked what fashion advice she would give she responded with “Stay original and let your personality show through your daily fashion choices.”

Tina has a fantastic on-camera presence and has appeared on many beauty and fashion television segments including KTLA, Good Day LA, Hallmark’s “Home & Family,” Total Beauty, New Beauty and most recently, Inside Beauty, for which she has discussed, hair, hair care and maintenance, extensions and hair color chalking.   She has worked with celebrities such as Julie Bowen, Lacey Chabert, Linda Cardellini and Christina Applegate to name a few.
